Recent research published in the journal Health Psychology found that exercise is protective against overeating, and when study participants did not engage in activity, they were 12 percent more likely to overeat in the following hours.

A study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute tracked 180,000 women for more than a decade and found that those who lost and kept off weight had a significantly lower risk of breast cancer than women whose weight remained stable or increased after menopause.
